THE Lindrick Players will be singing for their supper next week as their January pantomime launches at Carlton Village Hall on Long Lane.
The classic tale of Little Tommy Tucker is sure to entertain audience members of all ages and is the perfect family outing to beat those winter blues.

The pantomime tells the story of Dame Ditty who runs a successful school runs a successful singing school - much to the disapproval of her rival Dr Discord.
When the Duke of Sterling (played by Sarah Hemsall) arrives in town with his daughter, Sophie (Lucy Mallaby), the rivalry is brought into the open and a singing contest is held at the local fair.
Doctor Discord (Mathew Scott), knowing that Dame Ditty (Dan Sprowell) only has female students, decides that the contest should only be for males.
He enters his handyman Benny (Chris Sharpe) who really can not sing.
And when Dame Ditty discovers Tommy Tucker (Alice Carter) and his wonderful voice things look up for her.
But dirty dealings are afoot as Dr Discord plots with the witch, Mother Curseum (Helen Stephenson) to put a spell on newcomer Tommy Tucker and steal the prize.
Will Dame Ditty be able to find help and reverse the spell?
The Lindrick Players have entertained audiences for more than 40 years.
“Rehearsals are going well and everyone is getting very excited with the first show being just days away,” said chairman Sarah Hemsall.
