Audition dates for national singing competition TeenStar 2015 have now been released

Last year’s winner Emily Middlemas went on to get as far as the judges’ houses on X-Factor.

And 2013 winner Luke Friend had even more X Factor success, getting to the last three of the show.

“This is a great opportunity for younger teenage singers to have a launch pad such as TeenStar to give them experience and a big boost for their musical efforts,” said a competition spokesman.

Sister competition Open Mic UK has also launched other artists in a similar way such as Jahmene Douglas, Lucy Spraggan, and Brit Award nominee Birdy.

TeenStar consists of a UK-wide search for the finest young talent the UK has to offer, with audition dates being held across the country.

The competition audition dates and live events take place at some of the best venues in the UK and culminate in a spectacular national Grand Final, which has previously been held in The NEC in Birmingham and the O2 in London.

With more than 9,000 entrants last year, the 2015 competition is set to be the biggest yet.

And the audition dates for Sheffield at on 1st march at Sheffield City Hall.
