The Milk have announced a new UK tour for the autumn that will include dates in both Nottingham and Sheffield.

The Essex rock act will be at The Leadmill in Sheffield on October 27 and The Bodega in Nottingham on November 12.

The tour comes hot on the heels of the release of their track No Interruptions, which came out last month and is the first release from their new album which is due out later this year.

Produced by The Bees’ Paul Butler,No Interruptions marked a new direction for the bandm influenced by their love of 70s soul and R&B.

The video for the song is available to watch now at: http://tinyurl.com/o65m3ar

“This song provided us with a tone, musical flavour and a lyrical yardstick to which all of the other tracks had to have in common,” said front man Rick Nunn.

“The song is about defiance and retribution, emotions that were common in the studio at that time.”

Fuelled by a rediscovery of the music and artists that originally inspired their formation, the four walls of their studio were ablaze with a soundtrack of Bill Withers, Isaac Hayes and the Isley Brothers throughout the songwriting process.

No Interruptions’ was one of the first songs written for this new album.

Paul Butler invited the band to record at Chale Abbey, a medieval barn on the Isle of Wight.

The sounds that were created will now be showcased live this autumn.
