THE MAGICAL and enchanting fairytale of Beauty and the Beast will be brought to life through the world of ballet - and we have two tickets to give away.
Like Cinderella, the tale of Beauty and the Beast is one of the best known stories in the world.
Now, Critics Circle Award winning company Ballet Cymru present a sparkling and refreshing ballet based on the eternal fairy tale.
A ruined merchant, lost and desperate in a deep forest, an exquisite garden by a magical palace, an enchanted Beast, furious and lonely, a promise to the merchant’s youngest daughter, Beauty: a perfect red rose - so the scene is set for the greatest love story ever told.
With original choreography, expressive costumes and stunning sets, Ballet Cymru, bring to life this timeless story using the company’s unique blend of classical technique and storytelling.
Beauty and the Beast is a brand new ballet featuring choreography by Creative Wales Award winner Darius James, sets and costumes by some of the most creative artists in Wales and a brand new score by Welsh composer David Westcott.
Ballet Cymru are a young, vital group of dancers who are pushing back the barriers of classical ballet.
Using powerful and timeless stories the company challenges its dancers to interpret some of the finest characters in literature.
Lovers of dance and fairy tales are in for a real treat as the company promises to deliver ‘explosive dance, physical theatre and classical ballet’.
