SUN, sea, sand and fun are all coming to Gainsborough this weekend as the town hots up for a scorching summer highlight.

Lark in the Park is the biggest annual event on Richmond Park.

This year’s event is seaside-themed with fairground rides, a pirate ship, rock shop, live music, zumbathon, stalls and much more.

“If you liked the Riverside Festival fireworks this year, you will love this year’s Lark in the Park display by the same company that promises to be even bigger and better,” said Town Council activities officer Holly Parker. “Come along and support events on Richmond Park with a great day out for all the family.”

Entry is free for the daytime event from 11am – 5pm on Sunday 7th August.

But the fun doesn’t stop there. From 7.30pm, local rock band The Torn will be playing a concert on the croquet lawn with a bar and barbecue in tow. The day culminates in a fireworks display at 10pm. For the eveniing, entry is on the gate at £3 for adults, £2 for children.
