THE Olivier award-winning comedy The Rise and Fall of Little Voice hits the Lyceum Theatre stage in Sheffield next week.
The show, written and directed by Jim Cartwright, stars former Coronation Street actress Beverley Callard as Mari Hoff and X-Factor’s Ray Quinn as Billy.
Jess Robinson, from the Dead Ringers show, takes on the role of Little Voice while Phil Andrew plays Ray Say.
In this heartwarming tale, shy Little Voice spends most of her time hidden away with her late father’s record collection, perfecting her astonishing impersonations.
Her extraordinary talent remains a secret until she is overheard by local talent scout Ray Say.
Determined to hit the big time, Ray sets about creating the show of the century with Little Voice as his star.
When the big night arrives, Ray is convinced that this is his last chance for fame and fortune. But has anyone asked Little Voice what she wants?
Featuring songs from some of the world’s most iconic divas including Marilyn Monroe, Shirley Bassey and Judy Garland, this show will provide a sparkling night of music, divas and romance.
The show is on at the Lyceum Theatre in Sheffield from Monday 26th November to Saturday 1st December.
Tickets for The Rise and Fall of Little Voice are on sale now from Sheffield Theatres’ Box Office, priced £17 - £28.
