Weather draw as Ordsall host leaders

ORDSALL Bridon secured a share of the spoils at home to the Bassetlaw Championship leaders Worksop, in a rain affected draw on Saturday.

The hosts set an imposing 265 from their innings, with David Fagan making 55 and Rob McLeod 45.

Worksop were on 198 for 7, with skipper Luke Ambrose unbeaten on 51, when the game was washed out.

Both teams took 13 points.

Retford, meanwhile, suffered a losing draw at Park Avenue against Glapwell, who made 238 in their innings.

Cricket Field Lane bowler Jon Cooke took 4 for 41, and then made 31 runs in Retford’s 173 for 9.
