Thirds impress

THIRDS RUGBY

Dinnington III 40

Mosborough II 0

DINNINGTON continued their impressive start to the season with a six-try victory.

They took control of the game early on by keeping the ball close to the forwards.

This became a necessity as the game progressed because Mosborough’s backs showed themselves to be a threat whenever they had the ball.

Twice in the first half Mosborough got over the home line only to be brought back for a forward pass.

Dinnington took the lead when Josh Valente went over.

Quick thinking at a penalty on halfway by Josh Brown saw him run in.

Further tries from Ben Dimbleby and Dean McAulay (2) together with four conversions from David Bell saw Dinnington to a 33-0 lead at half-time.

A player from each side went into the sin-bin before Dinnington scored late in the game through Dimbleby.

Bell added the conversion.
