Last weekend’s West Lindsey Market Rasen 10k saw Gainsborough and Morton Striders take the team gold medal for the series, with Jerome McCulla seizing third following a personal best 36.21.
Fellow gold winning team members Steven Gaffney, Jordan Holmes and Dale Parkinson were close behind in an exciting race eventually won by Salford Harriers’ Pumlani Bangani.
The final event of the inaugural series was heavily populated with club members, many of whom (including Steven Gaffney, Paul Dagg, Daniel Edwards, Paschal Moran, Nigel Bowler, Ian Thorpe, Angela Overson, Helen Robinson, Glenn Peniston, Kevin Housham and Stacey Lyner) delivered Run Britain certified PB times.
Daniel Edwards deserves special mention as the highest finishing junior.
The next club event, the Phil Rose Memorial 10k, takes place on Sunday 27th November, but if you’d like to join the Striders for a training run these take place every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.
