Retford were ruthless in their pursuit of victory on Saturday, as they breezed past Harthill in Bassetlaw Division One.
The Cricket Field Lane men bowled out their hosts for just 109, Pascal Broadley starring with the ball and taking 5 for 27.
Only one wicket was lost in Retford’s reply, Mark Bull’s unbeaten 46 the highlight as they reached 110 for 1 to earn a nine wicket, 20 point victory.
Ordsall Bridon II won by eight wickets in Division Two when they visited Kiveton Park II, Andy Legg taking 5 for 48.
Division Three side Retford II had a winning draw at home to Welbeck III.
John Laking (51) and Sarvesh Kotian (53) impressed with the bat, and Chris Watt (3 for 77) with the ball.
In the Notts Premier League, Ordsall Bridon had a losing draw at Clifton Village.
Clifton won the toss and decided to bat first, finding themselves at 53 for 2, before Richard Harris, on his way to 51 and Shreyas Iyer with 74 added 108 for the third wicket.
Caleb Mierkalns (43) then added 68 with Martin Weightman (41) as Clifton made 293 for 9 from their 50 overs.
Martyn Long with 3 for 61 and Aqab Ahmed with 3 for 80 led the bowlers.
At 111 for 1, Ordsall were in the game, Paul van den Heuvel’s 45 contributing to stands of 50 with Nick Legg and 61 with Long (33).
They then lost a flurry of wickets to fall to 164 for 7.
Ahmed’s run a ball 41 led the resistance as Bridon forced the draw, closing on 185 for 7.
This weekend Ordsall Bridon host Rolls Royce Leisure, while Retford visit West Indian Cavaliers II.
