A Retford rallycross driver added more silverware to his trophy collection, with a podium place in the first round of the British Rallycross Championships.
Teenager Jake Taylor competed at Lydden Hill Race Circuit.
Driving in the Junior Swift category, the 16-year-old landed a third placed finish and really gave the experienced drivers some competition .
In an incredible close final heat there was only 0.8 seconds separating the top three drivers.
The delighted Retford lad was keen to pay tribute to his support network after a fantastic start to the British Rallycross Championships campaign, and he’s raring to go for round two.
He told the Guardian: “What an amazing weekend event at Lydden Hill.”

Round two of the Championship for the Junior Swift drivers is at Knockhill Race Circuit in Dunfermline , Scotland, on 11th May.
