Retford beaten by North Wheatley with Leverton

RETFORD suffered a three-wicket defeat on Saturday at Cricket Field Lane, taking just three points from their clash with North Wheatley with Leverton.

The hosts were dismissed for 131, while North Wheatley made 135 for 7.

Paul Singleton (3-40) and Darren Spooner (3-31) were the stand out players for Retford with the ball.

It was a different story at Ordsall however, with Ordsall Bridon taking 20 points at home to Notts and Arnold Amateur.

In their 234 for 6 innings David Fagan, James Brice and Rob McLeod all made half centuries.

Simon Davison’s 3 for 51 helped Orsdall to bowl the visitors out for 233.
