Two days later, Beckingham won one rink and drew another, but lost heavily in the other two to lose their home league fixture 7-3 to Marton and GB, despite the welcome return of their old stalwart Geoff Proudley.

The Club’s I. of A. Evening League team faced Marshalls at Beckingham on the and could only manage to draw one of the three rinks to lose the fixture 9-1 and drop from the top spot.
