A small number of Bassetlaw orienteers travelled to Ely for the first ever Ely urban event on Saturday.
A strong run by Helen Parkinson saw her finish third in the women’s race, while Andrew Ridgway came 11th on course two.
Robert Parkinson finished 16th on Course 3.
On Sunday the Ridgway family competed in a middle distance race at Bramley, near Leeds, Andrew finishing 10th on the Blue course, Oonah 29th on the Green and Fraser 12th on the Light Green.
The Easter weekend will see a number of Bassetlaw orienteers competing in the international orienteering festival that is known as the JK.
This year it is centred in South Wales, with the sprint race at Swansea University and the longer races on the moors around Merthyr Tydfil.
After Easter, Bassetlaw Orienteering Club are holding an evening orienteering event on Wednesday 23rd April, at Boughton Brake, near Walesby, with courses to suit all abilities.
