A top 10 finish was the highlight of the weekend for Harworth racer Dean Hipwell at Brands Hatch.
He also picked up a top 15 result, in the final round of the British Supersport Championship.
Hipwell put the CDH Racing Triumph in 15th place on the grid for the afternoon’s 10 lap sprint race.
Fortunately as the race was about to get underway the earlier rain and drizzle had abated but it was still cloudy with a wet track.
Hipwell squeezed past Luke Stapleford on the final lap to take 14th and claim two championship points.
In Sunday afternoon’s race Hipwell made a decent start to be in 10th place at the end of the first lap with one of the front runners crashing out.
He picked up a place during the race, and in a sprint for the line just managed to edge out a rival for ninth place, and seven points.
Hipwell and the CDH Racing team were more than happy with these two final results of a difficult season which saw Hipwell finish in 14th spot in the championship standings.
