Ordsall Bridon picked up full points on the opening day of the Bassetlaw Cricket League Championship season, thumping Cuckney II by eight wickets.
The win came chiefly thanks to the bowling of Tim Miles, who cleaned up the hosts with a fantastic return of 8 for 21.
With Cuckney all out for 81, Ordsall Bridon lost just two wickets on their way to a reply of 86, newboy Paul van den Heuval top scoring with an unbeaten 55.
This weekend the league favourites will host Harthill at Ordsall.
At Cricket Field Lane, Retford had to settle for a losing draw with Kiveton Park.

Their second scheduled fixture is on Saturday, at home to Glapwell.
