The new Elite League champions visit Sheffield on Sunday, as the Steelers welcome the Belfast Giants.

It’s a game that Steelers’ new head coach Gerad Adams believes will show him where his side are, compared with the team who’ve just romped to a championship

“I think it will be a benchmark,” said Adams.

“It will show us where we are at and more importantly where we need to be.”

“Win, lose or draw it will show me a lot.”

Steelers go into the game on the back of a good weekend, with a penalty shootout win over rivals Nottingham Panthers in Adams’ first game in charge, and a 6-2 victory over his former club Cardiff Devils.

“I loved how well we played when we really skated at teams, we have a lot of talent, a big offensive upside here,” he added.
