New life awaits Westwood

LEE Westwood will set up a new life in Florida, after a busy end to 2012.

The golfer is in action at the DP World Championship at Jumeirah Golf Estates this week, the Nedbank Challenge in South Africa next week and the Thailand Golf Championship after that.

And after a Christmas in Florida, the 39-year-old and family will set up home Stateside.

Life on the course will also have a new feel, as Westwood has parted ways with long-time caddie Billy Foster.

Zimbabwean Mike Kerr will carry Westwood’s bag, after it became apparent Foster would not recover from a knee injury in time to cope with the world number four’s hectic February schedule.

Westwood’s manager ‘Chubby’ Chandler told the Daily Mail: “It was a difficult decision because we all know how good Billy is as a caddie and they’re great mates as well.”
