Badgers big game looms

RETFORD United's next game will be one of the biggest in the club's history.

Badgers will look to overcome Alfreton Town at Cannon Park on Saturday, in the FA Cup 4th Qualifying Round.

A win and United go into the hat for the First Round Proper draw, with Football League opposition lying in wait.

Several United players have connections with Alfreton, none more so than manager Peter Duffield and his assistant Mick Godber, who both had excellent playing and scoring records with the Reds.

Godber scored 103 goals in 178 games and Duffield netted 34 times in 69 games.

It promises to be an exciting afternoon, and the club urge all supporters to come along and give the Badgers your support.

THE game on Tuesday evening against Spalding United has had to be postponed due to the Lincolnshire side being involved in an FA Trophy replay.
