The penultimate week of the 2013/14 Gainsborough Sunday League season saw teams in all three divisions trying to secure the number two spots.

In Division One a midweek victory by champions MUSC over Real Canutes meant that White Horse have taken the runners-up spot over their Gainsborough rivals Real Canutes.

And at the other end of the table Rose and Crown and Northern FC will finish in the relegation spots.

In Division Two Real Canutes Over 30s have won the division with something to spare.

And it will be either Liberal Branch or BFC Clumber who finish in the division’s second spot. Liberal Branch need to win just one of their games to secure the runner up spot.

Notts Diagonals have just one game left to play in Division Three.

And with an impressive 60 points and with a healthy goal difference of 80 they have been a breath of fresh air to the league this season.

It will be either Morton FC or Ship Inn Morton who claim the second place.

And with Ship Inn’s last league game against the champions Notts Diagonals it is Morton FC who are the probable favourites.
