Heanor Town boss Glen Clarence says he is is expecting a tough test when they face Retford at home on Saturday.
Retford will visit Heanor looking to get revenge for the 4-0 and 2-0 defeats inflicted on them by The Lions when the sides last met in March.
Said Clarence: ”Retford will be a difficult challenge for us. They have had a few players leave over the summer and this leaves them at a point of rebuilding, it is down to us to make sure that they don’t get the points on Saturday.
“We have had them watched and know what they are all about.”
Kieran Debrouwer scored all four, including a second half hat-trick, against The Badgers on Saturday 1st March and, when The Lions travelled to North Nottinghamshire on Thursday 20th March for a league cup quarter final, Retford were beaten by ten men Heanor.
Nick Hall received a straight red card for a foul on 14 minutes and Kieran Debrouwer and Nathan Benger both grabbed a goal to send Heanor through to the semi-final.
Retford are currently sat 18th in the NCEL Premier Division with seven points from nine games.
Winning only three games so far this season, only one of those in the league, Retford are not the team once feared by most in the league.
One of Retford’s defeats this season came in 3-1 reverse as Holwell Sports beat them in the FA Cup, the side Heanor demolished in the FA Vase on Saturday.
