Worksop Town U19s came away from Cannon Park with all three points, following a 2-1 win against local rivals Retford United U19s.
Tigers dominated large parts of the game, but it was the Badgers who took the lead on 16 minutes.
Josh Shepherd saw his shot well saved by Tom Jackson but Jack Booth was there to net the rebound.
Worksop wasted several chances as they went in search of an equaliser, however they were on level terms three minutes before the interval when Reece Twell fired home from 12 yards out from Tom Elliott’s cutback.
The second half continued in the same vein as the first half with the Tigers creating and wasting chances.
However, with 12 minute of the game remaining the points were secured when John Lufudu held off his marker before shooting home past Joe Sharpe.
Monday’s scheduled Under 19 game at Staveley Miners Welfare was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
