Retford United went out of the FA Cup on Saturday, at the hands of Holwell Sports, as three first half goals cost them.
Badgers were undone as early as the second minute, Joe Williams opening the scoring for Sports.
The visitors were two up on 14 minutes, Graham Wells rounding keeper James Hitchcock to score.
And 10 minutes later it was 3-0 and tie over, Harry Stannard drilling a low shot into the net.
Retford pulled a goal back through a Bobby Johnson penalty on 85 minutes but it was too little, too late.
United take on Albion Sports, away, on Wednesday evening before this Saturday’s home FA Vase clash with Shirebrook Town.
