ST ANNE'S Girls emulated the achievements of their talented boys' team by becoming Bassetlaw's 16th Champion of Champions.
In the four-team final play-off St Augustine's made a strong start when Imogen Mellors hit both goals in a 2-0 defeat of Misterton.

St Anne's responded with an even more convincing start when Abbi Bartrop (2), Bethan Lee and Megan Edwards gave the
m a clear-cut victory over Carr Hill.

This was followed by a 3-1 success against Misterton when Bartrop (2) and Lee were again on target in spite of an heroic performance by Ellie Lowatt in the Misterton goal, while Lauren Rabbitte hit the only goal conceded by St Anne's in the whole tournament.

St Augustine's kept the tournament alive when Chloe Hale hit the only goal of the game against Carr Hill while Misterton claimed what proved to be third place when Rabbitte hit the only goal of their game against Carr Hill.

With both teams on equal points the final game between St Anne's and St Augustine's proved to be the decider; a game that St Anne's won with a mature passing game that matched many of the performances by boys this season.

Lee (2) and Bartrop were on target once again as St Anne's took the title with a decisive 3-0 victory.
