THERE have been several match weights over the magic ton mark on the Bridge pool made up of carp and bream.
Worm and caster fished on the short pole has been the most consistent method on the Island pegs but paste at 12 metres has also scored well

Now that the water is warming the margins cannot be ignored with corn a prolific hook bait, but for a fine bag of silvers worm or maggot presented over a bed of ground bait is proving prolific.
On Moat Pool the pellet or ground bait feeder is proving to be a reliable option for match men, with maggot long poled over hemp and pellet producing good competition nets.
A good warm weather approach as been pellet and meat fished shallow as well as cat meat down the edge.
