John Mann MP says the privatisation of GP led drug and alcohol services will set Worksop and the villages back 10 years.
Retford is not a village and is as important as Worksop.
Centralised privatised services are a mistake that has led to the impoverishment of the North of England. It has been hard work getting the current services to work. It is grim. People are dying from drugs and alcohol. I have seen people with grey skin. I could see death in their eyes and they knew it.
It is not a game. It is not just deserts. Just deserts is the police and prison services towards offenders. Please do not let anyone play games with the drug and alcohol services. Some people will do anything to stop our addicts from recovering. Drug dealers are not in favour of their customers getting clean, it is competition and there are not many other jobs.
The Lib Dems are in favour of there being a service. We have discussed it and we know there are several ways to implement the service. Mansfield needs a service like ours. My view is that if it ain’t broke don’t fix it!
