Worksop: Four men to appear in court over ‘mass brawl’

Four men have been charged with affray over their alleged involvement in a mass brawl in Worksop last October.

They are Nicklas Cliffe, 25, of Sime Street, Worksop; Matthew White, 23, of Bracebridge Avenue, Worksop; Thomas Brumpton, 26, of Rushey Close, Worksop and Jake Cropley, 19, of Rufford Street, Worksop.

All four men have been bailed to appear before Worksop magistrates on Thursday 10th April 2014.

A fight broke out in the Portland Street area of Worksop in the early hours of Saturday 12th October 2013.

It is thought up to 20 people could have been involved, including both men and women.

Three other men and two women were also arrested in relation to the incident. But they have since been released without further action.

Officers are still trying to trace a number of people who were hurt during the fight.
