Members of Bassetlaw District Council have dug deep and donated £1100 to an appeal.

Nineteen councillors donated to the David Hawke toy appeal, which has been running for the last 20 years.

Coun Julie Leigh, cabinet member for Neighbourhoods at Bassetlaw District Council said: “We all wanted to give to the children and young people of Bassetlaw, whose Christmases’ may be a little brighter, thanks to the hard work of people like Val and Hawke’s.
