Award-winning amateur dramatic group Blyth Players are getting set to perform a classic Agatha Christie murder mystery later this month.
We’ve got A PAIR OF TICKETS up for grabs, meaning two lucky readers will go for free.
A Murder Is Announced will be showing at Barnby Memorial Hall, High Street, Blyth, from Thursday 16th - Saturday 18th May at 7.30pm.
‘An ‘announcement’ appears in the local paper, ‘The Chipping Cleghorn Gazette’, stating the time and place of a murder to occur in Miss Blacklock’s early Victorian house. Visitors intrigued by the announcement join the several temporary and permanent occupants of the house and wait with anticipation.
As the clock strikes six thirty an actual murder does occur!
What follows is a classic Christie puzzle of mixed motives, concealed identities, a determined Inspector grimly following the twists and turns, with Miss Marple on hand to provide the final solution in a dramatic confrontation scene just before the final curtain.’
The play will be performed by Blyth Players who have recently been nominated for a NODA award for their performance of the play ‘Stepping Out’ last October.
Tickets for A Murder is Announced are priced £5.50 adults, £4.50 concessions and are available by calling 0778 491 6250 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
