Wellow: Four crews tackle barn blaze

Have your say

Four fire crews were required to tame a blaze in the village of Wellow on Sunday.

Firefighters from Mansfield, Tuxford, Edwinstowe and Stockhill were called to the fire just after 4am, after a barn full of straw caught fire.

The barn’s asbestos roof saw the fire labelled as high risk.

Relief crews were still in attendance at 2.30pm, although the fire was under control at that time.
