Excitement is growing among at Wales Methodist Panto Players as they prepare to perform their 69th pantomime in January.

Mother Goose will see the group showcase some dazzling new costumes, months after many were ruined in a costume store roof collapse.

Thousands of pounds have since been raised through fundraising and donations, so the show can go on.

“We couldn’t just let the panto be defeated after all these years,” said business manager Jayne Lemm.
“The response from the community has been fantastic and we’ve been able to raise enough to put on a top notch panto for our 69th year.”

“Our Christmas Fayre recently raised nearly £1,000 alone.”

“Mother Goose is a great family tale with dramatic scenes and an underlying moral message.”

“Everyone can’t wait to show off our new costumes.”

The panto is on Friday 10th, Saturday 11th, Friday 17th and Saturday 19th January at the Montgomery Theatre, Surrey Street, Sheffield. Performances are 7.15pm Fridays and 2pm and 6.30pm Saturdays.

Tickets are priced £10 adults, £8 concessions and £6 children, and are available from Jayne on 01909 809757 or 07730266810.
