Doncaster and Bassetlaw Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has been singled out for praise by NHS Employers for its success at vaccinating health staff against flu.

The Trust says 80.9 per cent of frontline health workers at Doncaster and Bassetlaw Hospitals had been vaccinated against flu by the end of December 2012 - the second highest rate of any hospital in the country.

A spokesman said: “It’s been a real team effort, with Occupational Health staff working tirelessly to offer vaccination at all times and locations and a great response from staff, who agreed to be vaccinated to help protect their patients.”
