Some Bridge Street shops have shut after a water pipe burst this afternoon.
The main town centre was cordoned off around 3pm as shops worked to stop water seeping into their properties.
Shops including Superdrug, Holland and Barrett and Carphone Warehouse shut their doors this afternoon.
A Bassetlaw Council spokesman said they were ordering sandbags to line the street.
Notts County Council have closed Bridge Street from its junction with Ryton Street to Newcastle Avenue to repair the burst water main.
