LOACl rock ‘n’ roll group The Daybreakers are taking to the stage to support Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice at a charity night in Bawtry.
The Daybreakers, which consists of Jeff Coupe, Keith Redshaw, Gary Pearson and Dave Kirkland, are performing at a special charity evening at Bawtry New Hall on Saturday 6th October.
The evening will be a trip down memory lane and will include the sounds of the 60’s with hits such as Peggy Sue, Roll over Beethoven, Blue Suede Shoes and many others to jog the memory.
Jeff became involved with Bluebell Wood because his wife Sue is a key supporter for the hospice in Bawtry and is setting up the foundations for a support group.
Jeff said: “We have played a few charity events and we are really looking forward to now playing for such a worthy cause as Bluebell Wood, along with the brilliant Inner Sleeve Disco everything is set for a great evening.”
Sarah Champion, chief executive at Bluebell Wood said: “This promises to be a fabulous evening and I’m sure will get everyone rocking the night away.”
“We would love to recruit more supporters to become involved with Bluebell Wood as we have to raise £3 million per year to offer our services to children with a shortened life expectancy and we currently receive no statutory government funding.”
Tickets cost £10 including a pie and pea supper and are available from Sue Coupe on 01302 711687 or Emma Vizor on 01909 517368.
