WEATHER

Another hot and humid day, with some spells of sunshine but also with scattered heavy, thundery showers developing by the afternoon.

TRAVEL

Chancery Lane in Retford, northbound at the West Street junction is closed, because of roadworks.

Temporary traffic lights are in place on Huntsman Place, Retford until Friday 5th August to allow for gas main repairs.

WHAT’S ON

Oldcotes car boot sale on the A634 Oldcotes to Blyth Road from 10am to 3pm.

It is now open on Wednesdays during the summer as well as every Sunday and bank holiday Mondays.

Entrance is £1 and parking is 50p.

Orienteering for beginners at the Idle Valley Rural Learning Centre.

Pick up a map and walk along a short or longer trail around the site with a prize at the end if you are successful.

The adventure starts at 10am and children must be accompanied by an adult.

It costs £3 per person and booking is essential. To book call 01777 713945.
