WEATHER

A bright start but soon becoming cloudy with outbreaks of rain for a time. Brightening up again this afternoon with sunshine but also a few showers and feeling markedly colder than recently in brisk northwesterly winds.

TRAVEL

Chancery Lane in Retford still closed northbound at the West Street junction, because of roadworks.

Outgang Lane in Treswell still closed in both directions at the Cow Pasture Lane junction, because of roadworks.

WHAT’S ON

Easter Egg Extravaganza at the new Harworth and Bircotes Children’s Centre, on Scrooby Road.

Easter Egg hunt, egg painting and Easter bonnet making. Raffle tickets on sale £1 strip lots of top prizes including a Easter hamper donated by Harworth and Bircotes Parent Forum and a large Easter egg donated by A1 Housing. The money raised helps funds trips, outings and special events organised for Harworth and Bircotes families.

Event is on from 1pm-3pm.
