WEATHER

Mostly dry with bright spells, although cloudier at times. Any showers dying out later in the afternoon so generally dry by the evening. This evening it will be dry at first with a chance of rain after midnight.

TRAVEL

Chancery Lane in Retford, northbound at the West Street junction is closed, because of roadworks.

Thrumpton Lane Level Crossing, Thrumpton Lane, Retford will be closed from 10.30pm on Saturday to 8am on Sunday to allow for essential level crossing work.

Ranskill Level Crossing on Station Road, Ranskill will be closed from 11.15pm on Sunday until 5.25am on Monday 30th May. Closed to allow for essential level crossing works.

As a county maintained road ends at the end crossing and the continuation of the road along Common Lane is a public footpath, provision will be made for emergency services to gain access along with pedestrians.

Egmanton Level Crossing, Stone Road End, Tuxford is closed from 9pm to 6am from Monday 30th May until Friday 3rd June for works.

WHAT’S ON

Wildlife extravaganza at the idle Valley Nature Reserve in Retford on Saturday 28th May.

The event is on from 10am to 3pm and costs £10 per person. For more information call 01777 713945.
