NOTTS County Councillors will meet to discuss plans for Worksop’s bus station at a committee meeting tomorrow (Thursday 22nd November).

County councillor Kevin Greaves, who sits on the transport and railways committee, said he is extremely positive about moving the project forward.

More than 3,000 residents have signed the petition in support of the new £50,000 bus station - to be located on the junction of Newcastle Avenue and Watson Road.

Said Coun Greaves: “It’s a huge thanks to the Worksop residents who signed the massive petition that we are as forward as we are,” he said.

“We are extremely hopeful it will be up and running by late 2013 and early 2014.”
