Churches in Misterton and West Stockwith have been opening up to the public this month as part of Open Churches weekend.

Visitors to St Mary’s Church in West Stockwith last weekend were treated to a nostalgic display of wartime memorabilia as part of the Open Churches weekend.

The display, included a uniform and equipment used by the National Fire Service, loaned by Ruth Simmons and worn by her late father.

And All Saints’ Church in Misterton put on a display of wedding dresses, pictures and memorabilia. See page 24 for more.
