NEWS: The Gainsborough Standard

NEWS: The Gainsborough Standard

A SUCCESSFUL singer from Misterton is set to perform an ‘unforgettable’ show at Gainsborough’s Trinity Arts Centre next month.

Thomas Donaldson-Badger is a talented local artist and a ‘phenomenal’ tenor - who at the age of 15 has captivated audiences nationally and around the world.

Having made a considerable impact with his exceptional voice, Tom was chosen to sing for the Duke of Gloucester at the opening of Trent Valley Academy.

His achievements also include playing to an audience of 18,000 at Bramall Lane in Sheffield.

His parents Philip and Christine run a manufacturing company with premises in both India and the UK and for over 20 years they have worked to save the lives of street children in Indian cities.

Tom himself was a pupil at the International School in Calcutta while the family lived there for a year and has done a great deal of work through singing and charity efforts to try and save the lives of as many poor street children as possible.

Tom has been described as ‘having a voice fit for a saint’ - so remember his name. He’s truly one to watch.

So head along and sit back, relax and enjoy a magical evening of swing, operatic and many other classic as our local young tenor takes to the stage.

The show also features special guest soprano Kate Pilkington from Haxey.

The Best of Thomas Donaldson-Badger will be at Trinity Arts Centre on Saturday 16th March from 8pm.

Tickets are £8 - £10 and are available by calling 01427 676655 or by visiting their website at www.trinityarts.co.uk.
