WHEN Michelle Linacre came to our reception to put in a thank you note in for the lady who rescued her, she wasn’t expecting to see her very own Guardian Angel.

Michelle was stunned to see Georgina Hopkins - the lady who rushed to her aid after she collapsed in Worksop town centre two weeks ago.

Georgina immediately called for help to take Michelle to hospital after she saw her lying in an alleyway off Central Avenue.

Said Michelle: “I’d just done my shopping and was off to get the bus when I suddenly collapsed.”

“I texted my partner and friend to get me but they couldn’t. I must have been on the floor for at least 20 minutes. It was really distressing and I started to panic.”

“Lots of people saw me and they just walked on by, until this kind lady stopped to get help for me.”

She added: “I’m so grateful to her. It’s nice to know there are people out there who care.”

But Georgina said she’d do the same for anyone.

“I couldn’t have left her there - it’s not in my nature to do that,” she said.

“It was nice to see her unexpectedly in reception and I hope she’s doing ok.”
