Galatia and Acis joined forces in Gainsborough to celebrate Her Majesty’s 90th birthday as they worked hard to give a local neighbourhood a spring clean.

The 23 volunteers came together on the Queen’s 90th birthday to celebrate the Clean for the Queen Campaign.

As part of the celebrations, Acis, a leading provider of social housing across Lincolnshire, and Galatia, an Acis and Willmott Dixon partnership carrying out major improvement works to Acis homes, joined forces to carry out a clean up operation at Trinity Court, clearing gulleys and carrying out a litter pick.

They also spent time constructing a new clothes drying area for the residents of the flats and also introduced new borders and flower beds to a grassed area within the grounds to make it more appealing to residents.

The team worked hard to make the Trinity Court look far more presentable and the litter pick filled more than 30 rubbish bags.

Kelly Johnston, Willmott Dixon’s Regional Community Coordinator, who pioneered the event said: “Clean for The Queen is about everyone working together to give the country a big spring clean ahead of Her Majesty’s official birthday in June and we are delighted that we have been able to help the residents of Trinity Court in making the area look better.

“We are delighted with the volunteer turnout and it is fantastic to see what was achieved in just a few hours.

“After putting in new flower beds we are delighted that a number of residents have volunteered to support their upkeep.”

Clean for The Queen is a campaign to clear up Britain in time for Her Majesty the Queen’s 90th birthday, which will be officially celebrated in June.

Willmott Dixon Partnerships formed a joint venture company with affordable housing provider Acis Group in 2012 which created the limited liability partnership, Galatia.
