A 16-year-old boy has appeared at Mansfield Magistrates’ Court this morning (Wednesday 10th April) in connection with the death of Glen Kitchens.

The youth, who can not be named for legal reasons, entered no plea to a charge of manslaughter.

A number of family members were present in the court room as the teenager stood in the dock.

He looked solemn and appeared to be close to tears at one point.

He was remanded in custody and will appear at Nottingham Crown Court on Friday 12th April.

Mr Kitchens died after an alleged assault in Bridge Street, Worksop, on Saturday 6th April.
