Worksop: Stabbing victim still ‘stable’ in hospital

A stabbing victim remains in hospital this morning (Thursday) while police continue their enquiries.

The 21-year-old, named locally as Steven Hancock, was stabbed in the stomach on Sunday 6th April 2014.

Police were called to a block of flats at Northwood in the Prospect area of Worksop, at 2.30am.

Mr Hancock was rushed to hospital where he had surgery and is now making his recovery.

A police spokesman described his condition as ‘stable’.

Notts Police are continuing their enquiries and would ask anyone with information that could help secure a conviction to call Notts Police on 101.
