The Rotary Club of Worksop Dukeries along with the Rotary clubs of Retford, Bolsover and Hope Valley extended the international hand of friendship when they welcomed nine members of the Rotary Club of Wai in India on a reciprocal visit.
During their time in the area, the Indian delegation visited many places of interest including Sherwood Forest and Major Oak.
The legend of Robin Hood is known almost world wide and knowing something of the history added interest for the visitors.
The visitors were entertained by the clubs on different evenings.
Local Bassetlaw clubs hosted the Monday evening at Ye Olde Belle at Barnby Moor.
Margaret Grimshaw, of Worksop Dukeries Rotary Club said: “Our Indian visitors gave an excellent presentation that included Indian music and dancing.”
