Police are appealing for help after an armed robbery at a shop in Aughton on Tuesday.

At around 4pm, police were called to a shop in Aughton Road, Sheffield, following reports that two men had entered the shop and threatened staff with what appeared to be a handgun.

The men, who had their faces covered, made off with a quantity of money.

They are believed to have run out of the shop and down a gennel on the other side of Aughton Road.

Officers continue their enquiries in the local area, but would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident.
