A public consultation on the future of children’s centres across Rotherham ends at 5pm on Wednesday 30th April.

This is your chance to give your views on proposals by Rotherham Council to reduce the number of centres next year from 22 to seven.

The consultation began on 3rd February with parents being encouraged to make their views known by posting comments and feedback via a web-based questionnaire on the authority’s website at CCConsultation@rotherham.gov.uk

Fifteen public meetings have been held across the borough as well as meetings with staff and other stakeholders.

The proposals would save £2.2 million from the council’s Early Years and Child Care Service budget.

In our area centres in Maltby and Aughton would stay open, while Dinnington, Thurcroft, Kiveton and Anston would close.
