A diamond engagement ring and a bracelet have been stolen from a house in Retford.

Access was gained through an open front door in Tiln Lane between the afternoon of Thursday 31th July and 10am on Friday 1st August.

The gold jewellery was taken, along with cash from a handbag, from the elderly victim’s bedroom.

Reduce your chances of being burgled by ensuring your home is secure.

Lock doors, even if you are in, and secure windows.

Do not leave anything of value on display, especially near doors and windows, and don’t keep large sums of money at home.

If you notice any unusual or suspicious activity around your neighbours’ homes or gardens call 101 immediately or ring Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
