The contenders for this year’s North Notts Business Awards have been selected by the independent judging panel, choosing companies from the seven judged categories.

A record number of participants took part in this year’s awards attracting entrants from many differing business sectors and from companies of all sizes.

The finalists for 2014 are: Company of the Year - Spectrum Energy Systems Limited, Despatch Bay.com and Batting 4 6. Business Person of the Year - David Pickles, 4x4 Management Group; Andy Bicknell, Despatch Bay.com and Rachel Blinston, Lynx Black Belt Leadership Academy. Successful New Business - Squeezietees Ltd; Pilates Clinic Retford and Chandowe Images Limited. Independent Retailer of the Year - Sponsored by Wright Vigar Chartered Accountants; Mamma Guisi Italian Deli, Retford; Bookworm, Retford and W & M Bakery, Carlton in Lindrick. Apprentice of the Year - Paul Jeffs, Mansfield Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Co Ltd, Bridie Prescott, Lets Move Property Ltd and Jonathan Perry, Carley Consult Ltd. Best Guest Experience Award - Clumber Park Hotel & Spa; Deli & Dine, Retford and The Fountain, Tuxford.

Other finalists include Crystal Clean Service Limited, Edgewise Edgestrip Ltd, Chandowe Images Limited, Lynx Black Belt Leadership Academy, No Offence! CIC and Pilates Clinic Retford.

A charity raffle will also take place on the night to raise valuable funds for Bassetlaw Women’s Royal Voluntary Service.
