Maltby: Police appeal for man who fled scene with arm on fire

Police are appealing for information following a string of criminal damage and arson attacks in Maltby.

In one of the incidents a man was seen fleeing the scene with his arm on fire.

Over the past two weeks, there have been five reports to police of criminal damage at the same property in Tickhill Road.

Between Monday 10th March and Monday 24th March, several windows in the property have been smashed.

On Tuesday 18th March, officers received a report that a vehicle was set alight in Firth Crescent at around 1.40am.

Witnesses describe a man leaving the scene with his arm on fire, wearing a thick banded hooded top. He is around 5ft 7ins tall, of slim build with a pointy nose.

Anyone who may have information about the incidents or the man described is asked to call 101 quoting incident number 1353 of 10 March 2014.
